Six Word Fridays: Favorite Things

Favorite Things: Opposites

My daughter quietly reading her books.

Then having her squeal with excitement.

A hot cup of black tea.

A glass of coke, extra ice.

Eating a nectarine, so good.

Later, having a piece of chocolate.

Reading historical biographies late at night.

Getting US Weekly in the mail.

Not all, but some favorite things.

I love that this examines the simple and the complex. A quiet kid, then excited squeals seconds apart; both being equally good for a momma’s soul. There is much to love that are seemingly opposites; maybe that’s how we find balance.

We need contrast in our lives.
Without it everything would be monochrome.
Here’s to the spectrum of colors!

    Complexity makes life–and us–interesting! 🙂

You had me until historical biographies 😉 Well, and I might be a pepsi drinker. Beautiful!

Used to be a pepsi drinker, then converted. I thought any kind of history was boring until I started reading a biography on Marie Antionette. There’s more drama and sex than reality television or a Lifetime movie. 😉 Well, after 7 years of not having sex with her husband anyway.

You mentioned some of my favorite foods in this one! Reminded me that I haven’t had lunch…

“A hot cup of black tea.”
makes me want one right now.
    this study in contrasts gives
great food for thought and a
hankering for chocolate in the mix.

We are all full of opposites, aren’t we?! Thanks for the kind comment at my site!
