Don’t Fret, It’s Music Sunday! Blind Melon

Blind Melon – Change  *The sound quality isn’t great.

Ever since I wrote my Friday post, I’ve had the Blind Melon song, Change, in my head. I loved this band when I was younger and still do. I was really into hard rock and heavy metal when I was a teen. Then Blind Melon released the song No Rain and I went out and got their cd.

It wasn’t exactly what I was expecting and it was different from the other music I was listening to at the time. After awhile, the songs really grew on me and I think it partially led me to love a lot of the music I currently listen to.

The past few weeks have been downright terrible for me. This is the time of year that is the “anniversary” of certain things that are still hard to deal with. It’s around the time I’ve lost a few people in my life that I love dearly and it’s when I left an awful relationship that brings back some bad memories. I’ve been in such a funk but I’m starting to feel a little better. I know I’ve been such a Debbie Downer.

Things might get interesting though since the hubby and I have made Thanksgiving plans. Actually I had things planned several weeks ago, my hubby finally decided what we’re going to do this past Thursday. More on that later. We’re spending Thanksgiving with my family but….wait for it……the first part of the holiday, four days in fact, will be spent with my in-laws. “Awesome! I can’t wait!” she replied sarcastically…….

*You are greatly missed, Shannon Hoon. Such an amazing songwriter.

I fixed that problem last night with some margaritas. 😀 Now if I could only find a way to smuggle alcohol into the in-laws house. They don’t drink, which is fine, but dealing with them requires red wine or vodka. 🙂
