I was going to start a new thing on my blog called Blended Wednesday where I write about what’s been going on for the week but since I feel like crap, I’m a day late. Oopsie.
I even made this really cheesy picture for it…..
Here we go….
Get down with the sickness – I went to the doctor yesterday because I feel like hell. Again. She said I have a sinus infection. Again. As awesome as my ENT doctor is, I decided to get a second opinion so I’m going to a new ENT doc next Thursday. It was found last year that I have a polyp in the left side of my sinuses and while Dr. Cool wanted to leave it alone, I think that’s why I’m having so many sinus infections.
It literally feels like my face is on fire so while I’ve been laying on the couch, the little hummingbird has been getting away with more than usual. When I called my hubby earlier today he said Damn, you sound horrible. Uh, yeah, I’ve been telling him how awful I feel for the past week and it’s taken him this long to realize it.
My laptop – Even my laptop has jumped on the bandwagon and has a virus. It’s been at the computer shop since Monday and I’ve been going crazy without it. I’m using the office computer but it’s just not the same since I have my nice little setup where I usually sit on my bed and write all kinds of nonsense.
Preschool blues – I just started to look at preschools for the little hummingbird since I think she would love it and I would get a little time to myself. On one hand I’m excited for her because I just know she will rock her preschool and will love being around other kids a few days a week but I’m also getting the mommy freak out because who knows how they’ll act towards her (remind me to tell you sometime about the little boy who was being really mean to her in a neighborhood sandbox) and I won’t be there to protect her.
We have an absolutely awesome babysitter (thank you sitter city) that she’ll still see but I think it’s so important for the hummingbird to get out and socialize. Also I’ve been starting to apply for work at home writing jobs so if I actually get one
please please please, then having the little hummingbird in preschool will be a must because I’ve found that writing and having a 2-year-old running around doesn’t always work out which is why I write when she’s supposed to be napping or late at night after she’s in bed.
Must see movies…
Tumbleweeds. I absolutely love this movie! It’s about a single mom with a daughter who moves from relationship to relationship. The mom played by British actress Janet McTeer and Kimberly J. Brown who plays her daughter have great chemistry and in my opinion give flawless performances.
Soul Food. It’s about the lives of three sisters played by Vanessa Williams, Vivica A. Fox, and Nia long. When their mom becomes sick, the family relationship starts to go downhill and fast. It’s a really great movie and it’s one that makes you hungry.
