Tie-Dye Bath Salts

Look at me, ya’ll. I’m doing some craft shit! I don’t know what’s come over me.

I’m not a good gift giver when someone doesn’t give out a list so I just cross my fingers. Here’s a gift that’s really easy to make, especially if you’re in a jam, and you can give it to pretty much anyone. I’m not sure about Sisyphus though. I’m guessing, uh, …yes, no, maybe so?

My 3 year-old really likes to see her bathwater turn blue and I think it’s pretty cool too. As long as it doesn’t turn yellow, or brown for that matter, I’m good to go.

What you’ll need:

4 bowls

Epsom Salts

Food coloring

Directions:

Pour epsom salts in a bowl for each color. I used a cup each.

I used between 5-10 drops of food coloring (more if needed) depending on the color. Mix thoroughly.

Get a clean, clear container and start layering the colors.

You can wrap your gift in a pretty piece of fabric.

I never have any fabric lying around except my clothes so I used a t-shirt I never wear anymore but forever keep letting hang in my closet.

And when you forget the gift by the door which is something I would do, when you come back home, unwrap your new present and ta-da!

You were completely taken by surprise, right?

Do you wear rubber gloves? Or do you mix with a spoon? I am definitely gonna do this!! Then make a pretty cloth (washcloth type) to wrap around it, tie it with a pretty bow and now I have my Christmas Presents for the next 10 years!!! Thank you so much!! I LOVE this crafty side of you!!

I should have worn rubber gloves. but the green finally game off. 😉 I used a spoon at first but found a fork to work better. I’m still getting used to the crafty side, lol.
