*I’ve been in a funk lately so you get another recipe. Yay! No, really, yay! This is so fucking good and really, really simple to make.
I’ve wanted to try a sticky bun/monkey bread recipe but was always thinking hell to the no with all the work involved when it comes to making it from scratch, so this was perfect for me.
I was on Pinterest the other night and came across this recipe for an easy to make sticky bun recipe. Score! It only has 7 ingredients and was a breeze to make while my daughter was napping. They are gooey and delicious. Enjoy!
2 small tubes of refrigerator buttermilk biscuits
3 tablespoons of butter, melted
1/2 cup of pancake or maple syrup
1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup chopped pecans, optional
1/4 cups sliced almonds, optional
Spray a fluted pan with non-stick spray. Combine the melted butter and syrup in a small bowl and set aside. In another bowl, combine the brown sugar, cinnamon, and nuts. Place half of the syrup mixture in the bottom of the pan. Sprinkle half of the brown sugar mixture on top.
Lay the biscuits on the bottom of the pan, overlapping edges of the biscuits to form a ring. Top with remaining syrup and brown sugar mixture. Bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Let cool for a minute in the pan, then invertonto a large plate or serving platter.
