Peppermint Popcorn Crack

popcorncrackThis stuff is seriously addicting. The first time I made it, I ate it all for breakfast. It’s like crack. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

1 bag popped popcorn (I used sea salt style)

12 ounces white chocolate

1/2 cup chopped candy canes

1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract

Directions:

Pop the popcorn. Pour it into a big bowl and set aside. Break up the candy canes and put in food processor. Chop or pulse until candy canes are finely chopped. Put the white chocolate in a microwave safe container. Microwave for 1 minute. Stir.

Microwave in 30 second increments until melted. Add the extract to melted chocolate and stir. Pour the chocolate mixture over the popcorn. Mix with a large spoon or hands until popcorn is coated. Add the chopped candy canes. Mix well.

Pour the popcorn mixture into a large gladware or tupperware container. Put in the freezer, without the lid, for about 30 minutes.

Once the chocolate hardens, remove from freezer and let the popcorn come to room temperature…if you can wait that long. Break into pieces and store in an airtight container. Enjoy!
