Halle-fucking-lujah, the holidays are over!

My husband is finally back at work and the little hummingbird is back to her few days a week at preschool. WOO HOO! Sure, family time is nice for about an hour but having my husband home day after day ruined my every day flow of zoning out and watching movie channels getting shit done around the house.

Yesterday I had to get set up for my radiation treatment and they had to make a mask of my face. I’m really claustorphobic but was xanaxed out like my doctor recommended so I had some Ryan Gosling daydream time.

I officially start my treatment on the 9th of this month and with it being 10 days, with the exception of the weekends, I’ll be done with the treatment on the 22nd. Holy fucking hell, that makes it sound so long.

I’ve gotten some AMAZING posts from you and if you’d like to give guest posting a try or want to try a “your mommyhood” post, go for it and *email me. Don’t let fear stand in your way and give it a go. It’s the new year! Get out of your comfort zone.

Also, dear friends, I wanted to thank you for reading. This blog has taken me places I never dreamed I’d go and it’s thanks to you.

I hope the holidays didn’t kill you and you came out of it alive.

It’s amazing how many times in the last few days I’ve heard that same comment from my mommy friends. “So glad the holidays are over”. ;)

I’m jealous Elle. My teen sons don’t return to school until Monday, my toddler is not is preschool but I plan to enroll her soon and my husband is still looking for another job. It’s driving me INSANE!! I desperately need some quiet alone time. I DM’d you about guest posts while you are dealing with medical issues. Should we just write & email them to you so you can select & post on This is Mommyhood? Let me know because I would love to help.

Sending well wishes while you go through this 10 day medical journey.

    Hugs,
    Ericka

I so feel you Elle. Although running our own business, I have random days in the week when Hubby is home. I have learnt to ignore my schedule on those days, it all goes to hell when he’s home I tell ya! :)

My husband teaches at the local college and this semester he wasn’t going to have ANY night classes! Great for him, not so hot for me. I need at least one night a week just to chill. I must admit, I did a little mental happy dance when he told me his schedule changed and he’d have one night class.

Also, this break I haven’t minded having him home all the time, but if he goes grocery shopping with me one more time I may have to kill him.
