Giveaway: MarieBelle Chocolates

chocolateThis giveaway I’m doing  is all on my own because I think MarieBelle chocolates are the best I’ve ever had. I’ve been ordering them as gifts for years. They also have the best hot chocolate in the world. Omg, their Aztec hot chocolate is pure bliss. It’s creamy and rich and oh so good.

If you haven’t checked out MarieBelle yet, I’m sure you’ll find something you’ll love. I thought I would share the love and give one of you a 9 piece box of chocolate to share… or to keep all to yourself.

This giveaway is open to those in the continental U.S., one comment per person. To enter, just leave a comment telling me what one of your sweetest moments was this year. An anniversary, something your kids said, a vacation, a gift, your in-laws leaving after a visit, etc.

The winner will be picked by a random number generator and contacted by email. This giveaway ends Friday, December 6th at 12 pm EST.

Good Luck!

It’d probably be when my son randomly comes up to me and asks for hugs and kisses. Melts my heart every time!

Sweetest moment was the understanding and truce after FIVE years of not speaking/getting along with my in-laws. I NEVER would have thought it would have happened, but after my husband had a mental breakdown, truths came out, and guess what? Understanding, forgiveness and love did too.

I see what you did there…

Let’s see, sweetest moment…no single one, but whenever Bo has cracked up at his big sister’s antics and she grabs him in a big rough bear hug just gets me every time.

After a night of little sleep because my 5-year old daughter woke up throwing up, had funny-sounding breathing (sinus drainage, we later figured out), and ended up sleeping with us (so I could monitor her breathing), I overheard her tell her older brother the next day, “Mommy and Daddy let me sleep with them, and I didn’t even have to ask!” She’s a bed hog, but all too soon I will miss these nights.

I think my sweetest moment this year, was just two weeks ago. Our only child, a daughter, turned 18 and wanted to spend her birthday with her boyfriend. We hid our disappointment and planned to celebrate another day. The night of her birthday, I was surprised to turn around and find her home early in the evening, saying, “Oh Mom, I wanted to be with you and Dad on my birthday.” I know this is likely to be her last birthday at home, so it was a little bittersweet.

My sister got married this year. I love when the entire family gathers for a happy occasion! Sharing it with family, celebrating her marriage, it was just wonderful.

I would have to say one of the sweetest (and saddest) moments of this past year would have to be after my sisters funeral in April, we released butterflies. My 5yr old daughter was excited and sad all at once. When she released hers, she said “Goodbye Aunt Lisa, I love you” and chased it thru the parking lot into the grass. It landed and she called out for me to come see. I walked over and she asked me to take a picture with my phone for her to remember it. Every time she saw a butterfly over the rest of the year she chased and yelled “look mommy, it’s Aunt Lisa!”. We are all looking forward to next spring when “Aunt Lisa” comes back to visit again.

The sweetest moment for me was while I was in the hospital after a mastectomy this summer. My 12 yr old son came to visit and left me a note on the whiteboard in my room- “Cookies, I love you more and you know it. Sleep good and I’ll see you tomorrow. Love Alex” Cookies is his nickname for me. Every night we argue over who loves who more. He doesn’t understand that a child can’t possibly love a parent more than a parent loves a child.

When my 19 month old randomly gives me hugs, climbs in my lap, and falls asleep in my arms my heat feels so full. This has been a year with more sweet moments than I could count.

Happiest moment was a couple of days ago- after a couple of years of not being able to leave the house for even an overnight due to my husband’s cancer treatments, got a vacation w/my husband and son…happiest thing was that there was even a tickle fight between my husband and son- it’s been at least 4 years since they’ve been able to have one of those.

After having a bad day and just wishing I could crawl under the covers and sleep, my husband walks in with fresh cut flowers. I so needed that little extra bit of sunshine in my day and he saw it. Love him!!!

My sweetest moment this year was definitely the birth of my little son ‘Baby Vegas’ – our sweet honeymoon baby! My first son’s birth was so scary and so traumatic, that this birth healed me in so many ways – I felt so lucky!!

My sweetest moment was this past summer, my wedding day. My husband has been sick since the late winter, but we still stuck to our wedding plans. It was perfect, we said I Do, it was the best day of my life so far. In sickness is what we’ve got right now, I told him we will get health and wealth later in a marriage to compensate 🙂
