Six Years

I just realized something today. It’s been six years since I’ve been blogging which led me to follow my dreams and publish real books. I could go on and on but I’ll make this short. Well, probably not that short.

Because I’m so thankful that people actually read my nonsensical ramblings, I want to give some shit away. And, it’s me giving it away from the bottom of my heart, not some sponsored thing. These are things I love to use on a regular basis.

The winner will receive cocoa butter body butter and creamy cocoa butter body wash from The Body Shop. The second place winner will receive some awesome bath bombs from Lush. My friend, Dee, introduced me to them and when my 7 year-old takes a bath with a Lush bath bomb, her skin is so soft and her hair is more manageable. They’re wonderful.

The giveaway ends Tuesday, July 12th at 11:59 EST and will be picked by the trusty random number generator. If you’re like me then you’re thinking “EST, what the hell? I have to do math for this?” Don’t worry… as long as your entry is time stamped before midnight, your entry will count.

It’s also one entry per person and it’s not just inclusive to the United States. You can be anywhere in the world. All you have to do is leave a comment telling me this:

What’s one of your guilty pleasures?

P.S. I’m really loving reading your comments! One of my many guilty pleasures is watching episodes of Sex And The City or UnReal while eating a hook and ladder sandwich from Firehouse Subs when my daughter is in school and the hubby is at work.

A slow browse through Recycled Book Store, followed by a cupcake from Frost Cupcake Factory (while reading my newly purchased reading material), all leading to a lovely afternoon nap and/or binge reading and/or binge watching whatever show I am addicted to at the time. (So sorry, but just one guilty pleasure just wasn’t going to cut it!) 😉

While on bedrest it was watching most judge shows preferably Judge Judy & Judge Joe Brown. Only 2 people knew I was obsessed with these so don’t tell! Lol Nowadays it’s staying up too late to watch any Bravo show then napping next day.

My guilty pleasure is eating Nutella from the jar while watching conspiracy theory videos on Youtube. I get way too invested in those videos lol.

My guilty pleasure is eating cereal in the middle of the night and then watching TV that isn’t on the Sprout channel!

My guilty pleasure is peace and quiet. If I can get an hour to read a book while no one says my name I’m heaven.

My guilty pleasure is browsing thrift stores. That, and binge reading Maeve Binchy books.

My mother-in-law loved Maeve Binchy books. I miss her. Stupid cancer.

My guilty pleasure is the Real Housewives franchise. Actually, almost any reality tv, EXCEPT the kardashians.

My guilty pleasure is talking my 2 kids into a special trip to the donut store with their dad every Saturday morning… I get an extra hour of sleep, a kolache, and sometimes a Starbucks chai latte. I like to think of it as quality time for everyone in the family!

My guilty pleasure is any Real Housewives show. I love the American shows & the English ones too! I’m so nosey, which is probably why I love reading blogs as well!

My guilty pleasure is pretending I worked out extra long at the gym on Saturdays but really I stopped to eat Mexican, all by myself with a magazine :), on the way home. And I feel immensely better reading that everyone else’s pleasures are also solo activities!

Ghost pepper salted caramels. Luckily I live a little further from the shop that has these than I did a year ago so I can’t get them every week. But oh they’re so worth the trip.

My guilty pleasure is going to my favorite coffee shop and eating a chocolate chip muffin and latte. Instant game changer!

My guilty pleasure is stopping and picking up a bunch of soft, gooey cheeses for dinner when my husband works late. Cheese, popcorn and a glass of wine is a well-balanced meal, right?

My guilty pleasure is watching late night Bravo anything and eating Oreos and milk in bed.

Binge watching The West Wing and eating ice cream, or reading a good book in the bath.

My guilty pleasure is buying a pair of nice shoes. I can’t afford the super-pricey ones, but Fluevog makes some real beauties, and I can get a pair every now and then, especially if they go on sale (they do great sales).

Life is just easier when I have pretty shoes. 🙂

My guilty pleasure is getting up early so between my husband leaving for work and having to get the kids up, I drink hot coffee, dunk cookies in it, and read blogs or one of my books in silence☕️📚

My guilty pleasure is watching Gilmore girls and eating too many oreos when the kids are in bed.

  21. Emily July 9, 2016 at 11:07 #

My guilty pleasure is pigging out on ice cream (preferably 3 twins) after putting the kids to bed, while simultaneously watching a show (preferably Hung) and folding laundry. I know that folding laundry sounds like the lamest guilty pleasure ever. But I get to do it without anyone asking me for anything and without anyone jumping on my piles. It is meditative and lovely when I’m not interrupted!

When my son was a newborn my guilty pleasure was definitely Dog the Bounty Hunter. In my defense, not much else was on at 3am. I used to DVR an episode if my son was done feeding before the episode finished, causing me to say to my husband, “I have no idea why that’s on there. DVR must have messed up somehow…”

Now my guilty pleasure is snacks I don’t have to share. Shh, I hide them behind the canola oil and bags of rice because I’m the only one that cooks around here.

  23. Jennifer July 9, 2016 at 21:24 #

My guilty pleasure is binge watching several episodes of Mistresses or Unreal at a time with dark chocolate and almonds while my husband takes the kids somewhere for the afternoon. I even refuse to do housework or answer the phone while watching.

My biggest guilty pleasure right now is stopping at the coffee shop between leaving work and picking up the kids from daycare. Those 15 minutes of peace are pure bliss!
